What's the cheapest way to retard the timing on my type R bc when I activiate the nitrous i need a 4 degree ignition timing retard....jacobs nitrous mastermind didn't end up working out...I need something CHEAP!!!! if anyone has a digital 6 ignition..how do those work? and if they work anyone want my basically brand new 6al

 

Rotate your distributor 4 degrees

 

I thought rotating your distributer doesn't work on obd2 cars?????

Seriously, as far as electronics go, I dunno what to say. But the cheapest way to retard your timing is by rotating the distribuor, because it's free. OBD-II, OBD-I, Non-OBD wutever. This will just hurt your power, but it would be safer for nitrous, as a temporary solution. I'm sure there are electronics out there for your application, anyone know of anything?

I found something that'll do it....a retard box from msd for $135 bucks kind of steep but hey when I can afford it I'll get it
