Taboo: B16a turbo with a/c
Especially since no one has pics of this being done, I had been looking at the full race manifold that is a/c friendly. The only problem was that it was for a Bseries in a 00 Si. Anyone out there have a/c in thier Turbo B16a CRX? I think that it would work with some aftermarket radiators and fans.
p.s. Yes I did a search and the only one who actually has a/c is an EG hatch.

cause i live in the south where its humid as hell i want to see the same thing. I know it can be done but i want to see a setup with a/c and description of what parts he had to use.

I had the same taboo or whatever, the I was like, oh yeah Superchargers sit on the other side, good solution. I'm not SC yet though, might not ever.
I think it could be done, but how bout you try the sidewinder manifold that puts the turbo about where the battery is? Maybe you'd be able to bend the a/c lines down a bit...I dunno, more power to ya if you decide to try something that stupid, er i mean original.

Update: 48 hours, no reply email. I'm just going to call them and ask.
*as a side note, whats up with that banner ad for Type R Expo. Worst Video ever, defect? Is that purposely on there? I haven't seen the video, but wth?

Oop, 72 hours and I get a reply. Not bad. It's kinda funny though. They basically said what people here said:
"Using the AC manifold makes the installation of the turbo kit itself MUCH more difficult as well as making the turbo more difficult to install/remove, so we strongly recommend the use of the Non AC setup."
Heh, oh well, so much for "hopes and dreams". I guess I will have to go without a/c and find a beater.

I know the Full-Race guys...just keep trying, they'll get back to you...but IMO, A/C in a CRX with a Turbo is pretty much a moot point...I mean seriously...the car is 15 years old, so the A/C stuff is starting to wear out anyway...CRX's are awesome track cars and they're easy to make go fast...I'd make the decision now what you want to do with your car...go fast, or be comfortable, your choice.
Yeah, well supposedly there is no such thing as a fast honda, much less the CRX being fast either. Turbogixxer keeps trying to point out how bad a CRX is for the track, but he also feels my views on the CRX are that it is THE SUPERCAR. End all be all. Oh well, so much for being a fan of my car. Back to the topic at hand...I plan on doing 12 seconds flat on street tires, pretty sticky street tires hehe. But of course that is at my best ability and I want it to be on 93 octane gas. I am going to start with the revhard kit and try to get there with that. If the bigger turbo is needed, I will get it. Of course there will be internal work on the engine. CRX fans are few and far between nowadays.
