SSR Integrals w/Falken Azenis mounted...finally!
I wanted these rims before I even owned a Type R! Finally got them from SilverCIVIC96, thanks buddy! The rims were in PERFECT condition
I ordered 215/45/16 Azenis from Vulcan Tire, but they only had 2 in stock
Of course, the site said "In stock", and the next day they emailed me saying they only had 2. I decided to go with Discount Tire Direct, and then had them mounted at one of their retail stores. GREAT service. I go to the one in Bloomingdale (CHI area). BTW, I ordered the tires late TUE, they were here Friday (came from Ohio).
Here's some initial pix of them. The first day I had them on, it rained all day. The Azenis were FINE. I didn't take them on the highway yet, though, so speeds were under 55mph. Not sure why everyone complains about them in the wet weather (try driving with your stock RE010's in a Chicago winter, then complain
)
The ride quality of 16"s and Azenis feel GREAT. I thought maybe they would be a bit more harsh, but I haven't noticed that yet. They definitely pick up a lot of small pebbles, etc, in the road, as you can here them hitting the inner fenders while driving.
The rims are +45 offset, not bad. Before I get the responses "lower that beeyatch", etc, I have no plans to. I used to have Spoon Springs with stock rims and Kumho 712's, and it was NOT worth it. Ride was harsher than stock, and I had a nasty camber issue in the rears. I don't think handling-wise there was improvement.
I'll let you know my findings as I log more daily and track miles on them. gotta put more pix up too.

Yea, Those rims are hot as hell, but I think the only reason why I sould say that I would not get them is becuase they are not gunmetal. Im am just particular to gunmetal.
But seroiusly, it makes the car look so much more expensive
watch for thieves now you have an R with rims that make it look expensive like a porsche

Looks great. But as for the tires, once they get a little wear on them you'll know why everyone complains about them in wet weather.
