Type R LSD VS quaife LSD
Im trying to get a LSD for my 95 integra gsr. I dont know which one to get or what is the diffrence between the two. I was just wondering if you guys can help me out with it.
I was thinking since the type R one is alot cheaper i was going to just go for it but are they any disadvantages at all for this one.
I dyno over 300+ WHP in the integra (if that helps)

I have a Quaife its great. But your right it is pricey and the ITR LSD does the same thing for less $. It may not be as tough as the Quaife or gaurenteed for life like the Quaife (even under race conditions) but it'll get the job done. I recommend to all my friends to just get the ITR LSD.
Ive always wondered if the ITR LSD divides power equaly to both wheels under as many conditions as the Quaife does.

I would go with the type R LSD if I where you it is cheaper and it works. I have done some reading and I read that Honda LSD works better then after market but I would do some searching and decide for myself.

depending on the hp you are planning on putting down I personally would go with a quaife. I have seen turbo charged type r's doing burn outs in the bleach box and only one wheel spinning due to the diff slipping. If you plan on building your car and having a decent amount of power go with the quaife.
P.S.
I am not bad mouthing a factory type R diff. If you don't want to spend a lot of money then it is perfect for 300hp applications and in some cases a little more. Only the owner of the car knows what they are planning on doing.

It's a piece of cake. Press the bearings on, or heat them up and slide them on, then just open up the tranny case and drop it in.

I have a quaife diff and am just wondering is it common for one wheel to spin a little before both start going? I am probably being paranoid but I notice at times that I seem to get a bit of wheel spin from just one wheel talking less then a second here, usually I'll back off the throttle, is this normal?
