I ordered a full set of mats (front 4 + trunk) for my 2000 ITR a couple months ago and I got the whole front set, but not the trunk mat yet. The dealer is telling me that there is no release date for the mat. Is this bullshit? If they don't make them anymore then what the hell am I waiting for? I spent about 100 bucks on just the trunk mat alone and I don't even have it yet. Also, I heard that there are two sererate versions of the ITR floor mats. Black and Grey/Black pattern. What the hell??? Is this true? I got the Grey/Black pattern matts and those are the only ones I've seen in ITR pics. Anybody here an expert on ITR floormats???

 

The thin all-black mats are standard equipment on the 2001 ITR. The thicker, gray checkered-pattern mats are optional on prior years. This has been well covered (pun intended) in previous topics. Do a search.

I have never seen the 01 version on ebay or any where for that matter. my rear mat is the 97 -00 version and I just cleaned my 01 mats and have an extra set of those 97-01 version.
I think the 01 version matches the interior better IMHO

 

There is no removable '01 trunk mat to match the '01 floor mats. The '01 ITR comes with fabric that matches the floor mats and is bolted to the backs of the rear seats, and stretches over the hatch; that IS the trunk mat but it is not removable. The optional trunk mat (which matches the optional '97-00 floor mats) can be used in an '01 (I have one) and is removable, covers only the hatch area behind the rear seats, not the seat backs themselves the way the '01 fabric does.

 

Funny, I never put my 01 mats into my car when it was new, so they are still sitting unused.. Maybe I should e-bay em...

 

I think my car's probably a bit beyond floor mats and trunk mats. It's pretty hopeless. LOL...
