Default Part # (or where to get) 00-01 ITR Floor Mats

Well,..I need some new Floor mats badly!!!
I've seen all the 97-98 (grey/black GSR type mats):Acuracarmats.com but not the blk 00-01's

Anyone on here bought new ones,...Wondering if the Dealer would even still be able to get a set?
Please let me know if they'd still ahve a set or a vendor/anyone who can get a Brand spankin new set!

thanx guys/gals

The last time I talked to Baranco Acura, they still had OEM floor mats in stock.

You're going to move your pedals to the other side of the car just to have JDM floor mats?

Not for at least 10 years since the '00-'01 were standard equipped vs the '97-'98 which are discontinued or will be.

All accessories get the boot after 3-5 years after the last production date (i.e. CRX, DC2, etc.). Most cases, if its a hot selling accesories item, a US based company Vintage Parts will duplicate the item to have them in inventory (Armrest and center console(s) for EG, EK, etc). However, 90% of the time, it isn't the quality you would expect from the original batch.

Most interior pieces will be in production till or within 15-10 years, depanding on the item. Carpets, interior piece normally gets cut off after 10 years.

Body replacement parts normally till 20 years, but again, it varies on certain items. But in 30 years from now, expect other aftermarket companies to reproduce OEM replacemant parts, i.e. what you would ended up doing now for a '68 Camaro.

After 6 years in this business and asking alot of questions at Honda regional meeting throughout the east coast, sorta have a little insight on things. Sorta why I rent a A/C storage room....hint hint, Ebay in 20 years bitch, lol.

I found them online at an Acura automotive parts store. $86.70 for the driver, $86.70 for the passanger and $92 for 2 rear mats. A grand total of $265.40 for a set of floor mats.

Correct me if I'm wrong...

I did not get mats standard in my 00 itr.

It is not listed on the window sticker.

And 2, 00 itr mats had the checkered pattern, while 01 had the black carpet.

Right?

I'm pretty sure that the 01 is discontinued and cost a lot more than the 97-00.

the ebay or "knockoff" mats tend to slide more then OEM ones
has anyone ever though of a way to lock/hook/stick the mats to the floor so there would be no worries about sliding or bunching under your peddles?
