Default This Happen today :(

This pic is from the rear bracket of my tranny...

The 2 19mm bolts going into the tranny are stripped, I was going to Helicoil it this weekend, but today this happen.

What should I do? Could I still Helicoil the tranny?

i dont think jb weld will be good enough to repair that, that mount is the main one that distributes the torque, if you jb weld it it will just break, i dont think thats ever going to be good, but i would go to a local machine shop iand see if some one can weld it and then re-tap it, but thats just me.

JB weld will NOT hold that. I had a similar situation like that happen to the hole where my slave cylinder bolts in, so I JBwelded in a stud. I know for a fact that JB weld will NOT hold your tranny to your rear mount bracket. I would take the tranny to a machine shop and have them properly weld in new material and then re-tap as stated above.

you definatly need 2 bolts in the rear...i had 1 break, then kept the other one in...and that broke then...get that fixed asap, or you can just replace that side of the case with any b-series i believe.
