Default h22a swap, immobilizer problems?

Hi there, a friend has a h22a swap into an accord, and has had to use a b16 ecu due to immobilizer problems with his h22 ecu. Any ideas how to fix this, or remove the immobilizer out of his h22a ecu? Thanks in advance

if the ecu is 97and up then there is no way of getting rid of the immobilizer ull have to find a 96 ecu that is obd2 compatible and comes without the immobilizer.
I ran into the same problem. goodluck

I thought one of the chip installers here mentioned a way of desoldering the chip? Oh well...

if it's desoldered, the car simply won't start.

So is there any way to safely disable it then?

if he's doing a h22 swap into an accord i dont think he should have any problems becaues he doesnt have an immobilzer in his accord (unless it is a newer accord 98 and up). the immobilizer on the ecu wont affect anything unless an immobilizer in a car is trying to detect it from the ecu.

he wants the h22a ecu, and it does have the immobilizer on it.
no, you'll need to use an obd1 prelude ecu like killa said.
