still grinding gears and have no idea why! all b16a gurus please help
when shifting from 1 to 2nd its fine. but from second to third and sometimes from 3rd to fourth it grinds. i have 5 possibilities but need help ruling them out.
1.) shifter bushings/shift linkage-it doesnt seem too tight and im sure they werent repaced ever or ajusted
2.) Tranny is somehow messed up. I have no idea how but maybe. it was perfect like 2-3 months ago. started grinding when i put royal purple synchromesh in there.
3.)clutch is somehow messed up...maybe the fingers are bent or broken. any way to tell?
4.) clutch pedal is somehow bent or warped. thats what the honda dude suggested maybe.
5.)clutch cable. this is what i believe it to be. it is completeely ajusted to the very bottom; no more ajustment is available. if i have a b16a in there then what cable do i use? one from an integra or a crx?
if you guys can in any way help me id be very appreciative.
thanks.

If you can engage clutch and go fron neutral to 1st with motor running and car sitting still, your clutch, cable and pedal are fine. And from neutral to any of the 5 gears.
your syncros may have gone bye-bye.
your syncros may have gone bye-bye.
Your synchros are probably shot to hell. Try draining the tranny and just put in Honda MTF and see if that helps.
with car running but sitting still being able to go from Neutral to any gear says clutch is disengaing and you have no bent shift forks. if it does it driving you got hosed Syncros.
Drain the fluid and look to see if you see any metal in it. Refill with Honda MTF. Are you sure you put enough in last time? The only reason I can see it starting when changing fluid is if you didn't fill it all the way.

Just a stupid question... but what is double clutching? Because my tranny grinds third also... but only when i shift above like 4000 rpm.

GM Synchromesh will solve your problem... Do a search on it.
Double clutching is a method used with non synchronized transmissions. Shift from 2nd into N, let clutch out. Push clutch in, go into 3rd... You just doubleclutched from 2nd to 3rd. In my case, my 3rd gear synchro is dead so this is the method I use to shift so I don't destroy anything else.
