well couple days ago i change new timing belt. didnt touch cams or anything. set to TDC before taking old timing belt off. put everything back on and start up the car. theres alot of rattling sound coming from intake cam and the distributor has so many clicking sound as it idles... while driving pass 3krpms the car seems to stall and seems like its mis firing or something. i dont know what to do now.
nothing is wrong with distributor.

if anyone can provide pics of the rotor and inside of distrib cap, i would appreciate. i dotn know if mine is no good or good. im at skool at the moment.

 

Did you line up the crank to TDC as well?

its the white line from the crank to the line on the plastic cover on bottom right?

the car starts and idles... and the timing is straight on the orange line while the blue connector is jumped.

 

Was the car working just fine before you did the timing belt install? Is the timing belt tensior snug? Check that the timing belt is not loose and wobbling.

 

well between the 2 cams the belt is very loose... not tight as the one before.. i think this weekend i should tighten that up and tighten the tension... hope that wil solve the problem though...

motor runs perfect before this... hit a good time with stock motor..
