I have a 95 accord ex I acquired recently. I am interested in turbo charging it but I had a new issue just pop up last night. When I am in reverse or lugging the engine in first I get this horrible chattering/grinding noise. The noise is low, loud and seems to be trnsmitting into the cabin. It doesn't seem to be a gear grind the speed of the chatter seems to be lower than that. Have the shift linkages been known to chatter or am I looking at something worse.

Check the fluid level and check to make sure your clutch is in adjustment. And that should be a cable shift trans so i would doubt it is the linkages chattering
