I am going to get a ITR wing for my 94 GSR. Usually GSR's get the wing with the third brake light, however, i dont want the third brake light, so I will be using the same wing those with ls',gs', and rs' would get. My question is should I spend an extra 100 for the Wings West version or buy the ebay wing? Personally, I usually don't trust ebay's quality. I know some on this board have the ebay wing. How is the fitment? Quality? Durability?

 

I bought a Type-R replica for my DC5 from Trimking1. The quality is good, the paint matched perfectly, and the fitment was good. The stock holes were a little off. Plus, I got the wing within a week.

 

their are companys that sell their **** on ebay and even paint the product for u.. just gotta look around also u can get a used one on honda-tech for a same price i think u would get a ebay one for.. unless ebay one was like 50 bucks

A suggestion would be to buy a wing with a brake light.....because you are going to have open holes if u buy a wing without a brake light.

 

wing with a breaklight is ugly just get a plug the same color as ur car and plug up that 5th hole.. or get it welded shut. also u plan on running only 2 break lights? isnt that ilegal

i got my wing off of a company that sells a lot of wings on e bay..i got a type r wing for my DC-4...i was happy with everything, no complaints here...good luck mann...peace

 

i bought a wing off autoearth.com

they make them so the gsr holes are all covered...cuz my first one didn't cover them :/

i also added the 3rd brake light along the inside of the hatch..where it belongs..looks factory...cept it doesn't bolt thru the window like the ITR/LS

 

if you look, spolier depot sells some of their ITR wings over ebay. And they generally go for much less than they sell for on their own webpage.

 

I have stock style wing with LED brake lights on the bottom...looks tight, i like it a lot..just my opinion though

 

he should still have his stock 3rd brake light, from what i get all he will be doing is adding a wing...so i dont think he will only have 2 brake lights...

 

GS-R's 3rd break light is on the Spoiler... there for putting a ITR spoiler on it wouldonly have 2 because the ITR spoiler has no LED.

ls,rs,gs, and the Type R have the 3rd break light in the hatch. the gs-r does not.

 

Is it illegal for a car to only have two brake lights? I never pay that much attention to brake lights, but I think I've seen cars that dont have 3 lights stock...

 

Look closer, they all do

Just like all cars have a red reflector from behind and a yellow from the front/side. its there.

They all have an upper brake light (forgot what first lady the light was nicknamed after...roosevelt?) and both taillights.

 

Are all these aftermarket Type-R wings made of fiberglass, including Wings West?

your worried about an auction quality? are u expecting to fly perhaps? ebay isnt bad the people u get things from are bad. just research some and get ready for takeoff.

Hmm... my GS has the 3rd brake light in the wing/spoiler.

 

I have a replica itr wing w/ brake light from trimking1 as well. Its up for sale because I want the oem one w/ out the brake light.

same. Good fitment, and customer service.. i had a problem installing it, and i just called him up and he helped me out over the phone. Great guy.
