Can you purchase just the mirror bracket?
As you may know I smacked a kangaroo. Shop wants 321.41 AUD for a mirror. Thing is that the mirror is fine, just the mount that attaches to the window is broken. If I can't get the bracket I'm just going to make a claim. They want 825.45 to replace the mirror, dispose of old windshield and 2 door dings, **** THAT. Having the insurance co send an adjuster out to appraise it. LOL 250 just to dispose of the window, um NO I'll put the ******* thing in one of my sheds.
I know the mirror complete is like 144 US so maybe I'll just order one from one of you guys and do it myself.
How much should it cost to fix 2 small door dents?

LOL, never saw a dingo as a pet but I know some people have them.
I figure 100-150 bucks for the small dents, we'll see. Decided to just claim the glass for now and I'll fix the mirror.

Sorry to go off topic also. If you killed the roo, could you have put the roo on the barby (sorry couldn't resist) and then eat the roo?
*wonders what roo tastes like*
Is the bracket the only part broken on the mirror?
duh..... I read your post again.... sorry, I would just buy a used mirror.

Have you called a Honda dealer directly to see if it's available? Normally they're useless without a part number / picture so you might have to go in person. As for the door, from the sound of it you should be able to go the paintless dent removal route.
Yeah Honda Australia & all the shops want $321.41 for the complete mirror. I guess I can see if anybody is selling a used PY mirror in the classified, probably not though. The windshield will be fixed tomorrow morning. I am definately loosing faith in the local body shops, to fix any ding or scratch they have to paint the whole door/ q-panel whatever. I had a EBP Si and the shop(US) was able to match the paint perfectly, they didn't have to paint my whole bumper. I starting to think paintless dent removal hasn't hit south australia yet, lol.

You guys drive on the wrong side so a US mirror wont do crap for you. Get some blinging power folding ones from some buddies a little bit North of you.

one thing i highly recommend if you cannot find a used mirror set, buy the replica spoon mirrors and get them painted py while at the autobody. other than that, get the specific part number and call around or look around on the web.

i had exactly the same problem as some f*** ripped off my sidemirror last weekend. honda will only sell the whole thing or the harness with the electric parts, so you have to get the whole mirror for the mounting piece.
(at honda europe the price was about the same as you mentioned.. more than 300$)
i could fortunately get a used one from a local friend here.

I think it was mentioned in an earlier post, but don't forget to check that they're using the Type-R specific windscreen as it's thinner than the other models.
A paintless dent removal link I found for SA (The site's pretty awful, though) -
http://www.dentmasters.com.au/index.htm
EDIT: Found a review of these guys http://www.dentwizard.com.au/ over at AutoSpeed http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_0787/article.html

Yup it was replaced this morning. Not only is it lighter, but also has different dimensions. The guy let me thumb thru his book so I was checking out various stuff.
I know this sounds retarded, but for $hits and giggles I'm going to use some hardcore epoxy and mend the mirror pieces together then solder the wires in place and see how it holds for now. If falls off, it falls off lmao! Need a whole new one anyway...also got a friend of a freind who is going to remove the dents.

In what way are the dimensions different besides being thinner?
