Prelude "H" emblems..
hey guys, my 95 Si "H" honda emblems are in BAD shape.. it came factory with the gold package(yuck.) and its all peeling off...
So, are all Honda emblems the same? Can I get integra "H" emblems to replace mine(which i have already taken off..) or should I refinish mine?
I would probably refinish them in a gunmetal/smoked color..
How would I go about doing this though without destroying the plastic trying to remove the old plating?

When i bought my prelude, my front H emblem just fell off cuz the adhesive wore off, which from what i hear is a common problem. Hondaautomotiveparts.com is a good website, but they are like 25 bucks for a new one. Honestly, i would just go to a junk yard and shop around there.
yea how much are they from the dealer? unfortunately i need both front AND rear lol, i just went ahead and took them all off...
I dont really like the filled in "type R" emblems, i like the stock ones better..
i found these...

but I would rather use the right one so the holes with work..
argh..

i also had the peeling gold package when i bought my lude. I replaced the front and rear "honda" emblems, the rear "prelude" emblem and the antenna insulator and nut. All together i paid probably 20 shipped, IIRC.

If you still have the emblems and theyre not cracked and what not.. Paint them yourself. Hit up home depot or lowes, they have a bunch of different paint to choose from. I painted my valve cover with some hi-temp heat paint that hasnt cracked or peeled at all. So i'm sure itd be fine for your emblems if you finely sanded the gloss finish off of them. After you've got your color that you want on there, clear coat that bitch to bring back the gloss. (Considering doing this process also).
Note: wile painting the "Prelude" script emblem, use petroleum jelly/vaseline applied with a q-tip into the black areas so that when the paint dries you can wipe it away and retain the original look. If i do this i will certainly put up pics.

with big gaping holes? no lol...
it would probably cost to much to get them filled in(the RIGHT way.. no bondo!) and painted...
I am leaving off the "Prelude" though, gettings those holes filled in..
