I recently purchased a 5th generation Honda Prelude GLASS sunroof off of Ebay for $250. The reason for this is, I was sick & tired of repairing and patching rust holes in the metal moonroof cover of my 1995(4th gen) Prelude. This is a STANDARD problem for this model, because the back of the metal pan. Was THE ONLY part that wasn't coated with sealer on BOTH SIDES!
I digress. I watched several videos on YouTube showing that the glass fits, but the frame work needs some grinding and tweaking.
I ultimately decided to have a professional, near St. Louis, install it for me for $400. They did a GREAT JOB(Auto Air Garage in Union MO.). He managed to also install the sliding close plate, which the videos say you have to remove. Then trimmed the whole thing in and painted all the vinyl to match!
Looks GREAT! And is a great upgrade for $650.00!!!
If you got a 95 Prelude with a rusty or pitted moonroof. I highly recommend it!
