Default Oil burning smell

After some hard runs, like hitting redline for 5-6 times, the engine has some oil burning smell, I check under the car but there is no oil leakage, anyone know what may be the problem?

as the mileage on a motor increases, seals and rings get more worn...

its normal that you din't notice it b4 and do now

yes...just check your oil @ regular intervals to make to make sure you're not burning excessive amounts and keep your engine bay CLEAN so that leaks are easily spotted

ah, but i figured you'd mentioned the huge clouds of smoke my tranny produced

as for the original post, my R with 63k miles makes pleasant burnt oil odors all the time. of course i use a quart every 500 miles, but hey at least when i top it off i always know my oil is fresh!
