Default SuperCharger Question

I tried posting this in forced induction but no one responded...What do you guys think about installing a JRSC on an automatic 96 integra LS? Would you need to buy any additional engine parts to replace the factory parts or would you be ok with the parts that came with the JRSC?

yea in an automatic your car would be revvijn but going no where. how bout you waste your money on a new trans (5 spd) and a vtec head! youll then be really happy and be n/a and faster than you would with a SUPERCHARGER.. then go turbo with the biotch!

Ok, I was just thinking it might be a cool project if done right and a more reliable way of adding some HP on a daily driver. What do you estamate a new 5speed, v-tec head and instalation costing?

way too much...sell your car and get a GSR...tranny swap alone will cost you 3, prob another 3 for ls/vtec conversion...more if you want it reliable...

i wouldn't rely on ls/vtec for my daily driver, because i drive every day, i need the car, i wouldn't use a setup like that that is so finnicky and breaks easily...but like i said, if you got the cash, it'll work..

Heres my .02 when it comes to automatics, theres nothing wrong with an automatic, but when your trying to mod it for performance, a power addeder is only as good as it's starting platform. Unfortunately an automatic Ls is not a good platform to start with.

If you want to seriously mod the car, sell it and start fresh. 5 speed swaps cost $$$$, and it's just one more thing that can fail. Only modify the parts that need modifying, in your case the transmission is your first priority, but theres an easier cheaper way to do it, Sell it and start with a fresh stock untouched 5 speed transmission .

Thanks for the info guys... I guess it does make more sense to start with a nice 5speed, its just that I've already spent a good amount on the suspension & wheels.
