No, in other words it's personal preference. Turbo will always have the ability to make more power, just due to the nature of physics. But that's not what some people want.

If you want advice, you need to ask very specific questions with details. How fast do you want to go, what kind of budget do you have, do you have any parts already that you're starting off with as a base, is emissions testing a concern, etc. etc.

ok sorry bout that. no parts yet. there is a guy in my area who is selling a ls block and another who is selling a gsr head. this is what i am doing my research off of. just i have been looked at like a retard for even suggesting putting a turbo on a ls/vtec. inspection is not an issue. hp i was thinking somewhere in the ball park of 225-250. this is going to be a slow parts build up because i am going to iraq in october so there is no hurry. i am just trying to get some info so i can build my parts list while i am there.

250 wont happen on a NA 1.8 liter. 225 is something a pro engine builder could get you. It sounds like you might be better served by going the Turbo route.

dont go sit in iraq and spend all your emminent danger pay on 20 year old honda parts, and spend your internet time on honda-tech. just words of advice from someone who has been there....3 times.
