Default For those with Stan's Turbo oil drain kit... I have a question

I have the drain flange and the 45 degree brass fitting that came with Stans kit. My question is, is the 45 degree brass fitting supposed to thread all the way into the flange? It starts to go smoothly and then gets pretty tough.. it only threads about half way, I can still see half the threads on the 45 degree brass fitting. Is that ok? As long as I have teflon tape and it's tight on there when I install it, it should be ok right? Thanks guys.

Its pipe thread so it should have a tapered thread and no screw in all the way i think.

I guess you're right. I just looked at the 45 degree fitting, it does seem to have a tapered design. Thanks.

its pipe thread, wrap it in teflon tape about 2 or 3 times. THen tighten hand tight, then get the wrench and then do a few more rotations on it, 1 or 2 times past hand tight, HTH
