just wondering what does the act stage 3 clutch consist of, i.e. what disc and pressure plate??? thinking about buyin one but dont know which.....

HEAVY DUTY PRESSURE PLATE , EITHER FULL FACE STREET DISC OR 6 PUCK TRACK DISC , ALIGNMENT TOOL THROWOUT BEARING , PILOT BEARING

 

I have an ACT with the extreme pressure plate and even though it has held on I hate this clutch. It has problems letting go when reving close to 8k. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere like a clutchmaster. ANYTHING BUT ACT!

wow, that is harsh. i have a few friends who have products by
ACT and are nothing but happy with them. i have a ACT HDSS in my car now and although it is not out of the shop yet, i am anixously awaiting.....

i would recomend c.m. stage 3 for ur current motor if its stock but if u added sum internal goodies depending how stiff u want the clutch to grabb mayb a stage 4

 

act clutches dont come in stages

clutchmasters do

 

actually i was talkin to jeremy at inline last night and he was telling me bout the new competition clutch thats out now, i forgot what its called but he said it has the same feel as a stock clutch but its like a stage three, its got a 6puck and hd pressure plate, sounds real nice..........

 

check out the exedy 08950b its an upgraded press. plate with a stock feel and a 3 puck sprung hub, we have had awesome luck with this unit. we also stock them so give us a ring

about 400 bones if i'm not mistaken...

 

actually we retail them for that car for 295.95

 

i have an ACT street disk/xtreme PP and i love it. i mean my car is nearly stock and i don't know what you have on the hatch. but i love it and the shop i bought it from only uses act. their race hatch uses it too i believe

I had the same in my hatch and loved it. My clutchmaster stage 1 sucked! I will never recommend clutchmaster to anyone. ACT and centerforce have both been good to me
