Bottoming out...Question.
It wasn't too bad but it was loud.
My new 5th Gen prelude has eibach springs on it and I was at a gas station at night and there was a bump I did not see before the pump.
I hit the center support that goes from the front to the back below the header pretty hard. (It has that hook on the front) I was going only like 10mph.
Would that damage anything? Or am I just trippin?

Most people with preludes have laid a severe beating on the center towhook...I wouldn't worry about it, at least it wasn't your header.
Unless you were driving into the gas station lot at 100 miles an hour I doubt you did anything except scrape it.

Did you upgrade your shocks when you replaced the springs? My OEM shocks only lasted a couple of months with the coilover springs. Once I replaced the OEM shocks with higher rate dampners (Koni yellows), the car quit bottoming out. Every time the car gets jacked up on a lift, I cringe at the damage on the bottom of the chassis. Houston's streets are horrible. Lots of dips, potholes, speed bumps. The higher rate springs require higher rate shock absorbers. Otherwise, it's just a matter of time before your stock shocks are shot.
You prob didn't hurt anything, I have bottomed up pleanty of times. Just jack up the car and check, make sure you don't have an exhaust leak or anything else....

Well I bought the car from Cush Acura.
It has:
Eibach Springs
Monroe Sensa trec shocks
And 17" Konig Imagines
I was just wondering. But I think Preludes have much more support and stronger sub-frames as my prior civics
But yes I will be getting Koni Yellows in a few months once I save up. I love the height it's at and don't want to change it.
