Another VAFC problem...(yes I searched) Repost from tech
So I installed my VAFC today and I'm having a couple problems.
First, upon initial setup the voltage on all three sensors is 5.115V.
It is definately not incorrect wiring, I checked the wiring so many times I lost track.
I also had someone more experienced check the wiring for me.
After researching a little, I found that it wouldn't hurt to go ahead and start the car; which leads to the next problem.
Second, the throttle percentage does not move at all. It stays at a constant 100%.
This could be a result of the high voltage, but once again the wiring is correct.
I didn't check to see if vtec would engage because I didn't want to rev very high until tuning.
Also the cel shows map sensor fault when the VAFC is hooked up. When I bypass the VAFC on the Pressure line the cel goes away.
The VAFC is in my center console, under the armrest. I extended the wires using a little thicker wires than what comes with the unit. So, I was thinking this could be the problem (the continuity change). The only other thing I can think of is that the VAFC is bad.
Please help me out. Thanks in advance ~ Jake

I had a friend that actually used wired from a PS2 controller to extend his VAFC, and it didn't affect the way it worked. Double check all your wires. If the unit was faulty, it probably wouldn't turn on at all. But, things do happen
I just got my installed yesterday, had no problem, I also used some speaker wires to extend the unit which they are a litttle bigger then the ones that came with the unit, no cel but last step is I don't know how to tune it.
