Anyone have a sc50 on a b18c1?
I would like to hear some feedback from anyone that has used an sc50 on a b18c and see what everyone thinks. Im looking at this turbo for a fast spool and hope to eventually make low 300's whp. I just want to make sure that this turbo would be efficient to redline and is suited well for this engine. thanks
I would like to see more input on this...
Also what about the SC50 vs. SC34 (w/.63 a/r)???
I've heard the SC34 flows only a little better, but in terms of quick spool the SC50 is better?
Thanks

Actually the SC50 50 trim turbo is a great spooling product for quick spool, but answer this question? Is quick spool the only thing you're looking for? If you're looking for a wider range to be able to use this application (Not just Peak HP, mind you) you may want to look and compare the data of the 2 types of turbos. If this is simply for a little extra power, the Sc50 can work. The more effective and efficient use of the ENTIRE RPM band in my experience has been a bit more w/ the SC34 - 57 trim setup.
Either could work, just remember, quick spool is worthless if it cannot be kept to the ground in a FWD application

I have a few friends with LS/Vtecs and 50 trims. All make around 360whp at 15 psi on pump, and all make over 400whp a 20+psi on race gas. Killer turbo, and spool time is great for a t3-t4.
