i purchased an oil pan gasket today. in came in two pieces in a package. i double checked to make sure its the right part # and it was. am i trippin or what?

 

I bought one a month ago and it was 1 piece rubber. You may have bought something else. Maybe

is it the rubber that the bolts and nuts screw onto??? that has 2 pieces...

it has two rubber pieces with holes for the bolts of course. both rectangular rubber pieces are the same size.

 

thats pretty wack they gave you the wrong part in the correct package. haha i double checked with acura to make sure they didnt come out with some newly designed oil pan gasket and they said no. lol go exchange it, dude... you got a faulty packaged part.

 

post a pic so we all can see it.

 

i am 100% sure that, that peice goes on the outer part of the pan 2 pieces of rubber go around the pan then the bolts over that. I guess you have wrong part in the bag good luck

 

part was packaged wrong. got a new one.
