Default B16 with ITR internals, help please.

I would like to know just a couple things. If I do a B16 swap into my Ef civic dx with ITR internals will I need to get special tuning done? If so, is there possibly a chip for the ECU that I can purchase to get around that? Also, what kind of power would an ITR built B16 put out roughly?

Im planning on the ITR pistons, rings, cams, and springs. Should I get the intake manifold as well? Since I have the motor out what else would be wise to replace (ex. water pump)? One last thing for now, will the ITR pistons fit the stock rods or do I need to get new rods? Thanks in advance guys

Really?

What would you suggest without going all out. Im looking for a little extra power out of the B16, nothing crazy.

How good is the bottom end on a B16? Maybe I should just do head work??

Why, its been done. (4wd conversion)

With CTR pistons, what would be a good rod to accomidate it? Can I get away with using the stock ones?

yes use stock rods

they are press fit like your b16 rods

get new rings, do a lite hone

ITR cams, ITR intake manafold, ITR throttle body, and a decent header with a 2.5" collector

Sounds good! Ill do more research but just curious, about how much hp/tq is that?

I want the car to be quiet as well. What kind of exhaust is really not that noticable and quiet? Of course Ill have the cat in there as well but its really important to me to not have a loud, annoying exhaust. Thanks in advance.

Where is a good place, price wise, for CTR pistons? How much of a bore would be wise to get?

heeltoe has them and i would go with the oversized ones, i think its like 81.25 (300 with rings), get a 2 layer headgasket( can make ur self with oem one), get portflow inners and itr outers springs (200) , aebs intake manifold (145), bored tb from a guy in this site (100) , then sum used stage 2 rlz cams (500ish/600 new), and a good header with a 2.5 collector with 2.5 piping and i think ull be set. also i would think about oem itr lsd (400ish for complete swap) let me tell u its a difference my friends jdm b16a with just i/h/e beats itr's from the line and top end they help, for exhaust also get a long resonator.

I have about 3 weeks to make up my mind. When the motor gets here Ill probably just do the regular maintance on it then install it. If I feel it needs to be quicker Ill do the ITR top end work, TB, intake mani, then i/h/e.

When I order the motor I plan on getting a tranny with a LSD. Im going to order the motor from hmotors. Ive been reading good things about them. Im going to opt for the LSD tranny, hasport mounts, linkage, and A/C bracket. Will I need the 90-93 integra steering knuckles and hubs?

Ok we have established that, its not a big deal. I do however need to know if I will need the 90-93 integra steering knuckles and hubs.

if you get the ITR cams I'd recommend getting the ITR or GSR lost motion assembly other wise you could break your cams

not really but it is best to do so

as this motor is what 14 years old or so
and well b16 1st gen have the problem of going out
u will know by the annoying ticking noise and it ain't ur valves

and well I would think or tell u to yes get the 90-93 changeover as well u have a bigger motor not a dinky single cam 1.5 in there so u kinda got to figure well more power requires more stopping power

just my opinion but u can do without it

or at least try to upgrade ur M/C and prop valve
