Default ??? Front lower control arm changing rear part with sway bar hole.?

Has anyone ever split the front lower control arm at the 2 bolts and replaced just the rear portion with sway bar mount hole. By that I mean the same ball joint to frame part is a civic DX but the back or rear of the lower control arm is changed to an EX to allow the front sway bar to attach. Anyone do this.?

Here is a diagram of the front LCA 2nd post. The part I am talking about removing is part 1 2 from the rear portion that goes into number 3. The 2 bolts can be removed from part 1 2 to allow the rear portion that goes into 3 to be replaced and allow a front sway bar.
