Default front lower control arm problems(please help)

on my 1997 civic i notice a knocking and a up and up and down motion of my driver side wheel. It was the same feeling i had when my engine mounts had broken. I put my car on the jack to see whats the deal.

All the mounts are fine cause they are Hasport and all are nice and tight
then i check the axles to see if by some miracle they had a crack or something. There is a little extra play with the drive side but everythings seemed to be okay.

checking the control arm all looks fine til i notice there is a mount that connects to the control arm and is located close by the jack support. This mount seemed to be leaking oil(in other mounts broken mount)

Now my question is where can i find this mount. i tried to find a picture so that this question can be easier but this has not been my week. the mounts i keep on finding are way to small please help ttrack season starts on the 15th

You must be talking about #3. Im not sure where the oil would be coming from though. That bushing is solid rubber.

i didnt know that the mount was solid there but im sure there is oil. if i replace # 3 do u think the knock will stop or is it actually the axle giving me this trouble

If that bushing is in really bad shape, it could very well cause the clunking your speaking of.

EDIT: because its "really", not "rally"

I would fist retorque those bolts and Id also check the bolt that connects your control arm to the subframe itself (number 9 in the pic). Mine made noises when that was loose and letting it go only made matters a hell of a lot worse. See my walkthrough instructions for subframe replacement and you can see why. heh.

Also, why does your driver side axle have play in it?

If the other one doesn't then i would check that out as well.

on my old car, i had a similiar problem. when i stopped it would make a bumping/loose noise.it was because the bushing was dryrotted.
