Default aftermarket regulator and vortech fmu

will a vortech fmu work with an aftermarket adjustable fuel regulator.?

what i mean is how what would you set the regulator on because if the fmu says add more but the regulator is set at 50psi then it wont go past that right and if you set it at 70psi then it stays that way all the time and you run too rich unless your on it.
