b16 head on a b18c block....
I was wondering when people put b16 heads on a b18c block, does it matter which obd it is? Does the head and block both have to be OBD1 or OBD2? Do you just snag the wire harness that goes with the head?..Thanks guys...
I would recommend mating a head and a block with the same obd code... ex. obd 1 head w/ obd 1 block. You can however mix and match, but you will need to use the oldest ecu out of the two, ex. the head is an obd1 and the block is obd2, you would use the appropriate obd1 ecu.

ive put a 89 b16a head on a 2000 LS block and run it off of a p28...obd doesnt mean anything..whatever ecu youve got is what matters..the injectors and some sensors need to be changed out to match the obd..but thats it..
high, new member to the forum, i was just wondering if anyone has tried to drop larger aftermarket cams (with apropriate springs and retainers of course..) onto a b16 head, which in turn was mounted onto a b18c block? Did you have run run new fuel maps on the computer or did the gsr computer run fine? i mean were their any problems with detonation, runing too rich, too lean? i was ploanning or running a hondata b4 doing all the headwork in order to avoid serious damage onto the head and block.
