Default b18c1 into 99si?

a friend of mine wants to do this swap but here is the problem. he has a gsr motor with an obd1 head and obd2 block, with a conversion harness and obd1 ecu can he just drop the gsr motor right in ? or is there major wiring issues? i was thinking he could just take the gsr block and use his b16 head and he wont have to change anything, or do you guys think putting the gsr head on would make that big of a difference

If you use a jumper and convert all of the OBD stuff to OBD 1 you will be fine. It not matter what the OBD the block is. The extra sensors that an OBD 2 motor has will not be picked up by the OBD 1 ECU. Use the injectors, dizzy, and alt. off the B16a2 and you will be fine.
