Default mini me, always off by 1/2 tooth?

Guys I've been reading and doing research and it seems like no matter what timing belt I use I'm going to be off by 1/2 tooth or something like that.

this happens when u use the z6 timing belt too? Or only when I use the stock timing belt then I need an adjustable cam gear with 5 degree advance.

Need help asap.

yep, I would recommend adj cam gear , you may be able to compensate by adjusting the dist,. but you will have very limited tuning afterward. Not a good comprimise.

heres mine, so far mine is out about 4-5 deg also.
Edit: forgot 2 mention mine is a d16a6 block and a y8 head mini me combo

Yep, no problems here either. I'm running an A6/Y8 with
stock cam gears.

then the problem is the z6 head? I have a d15b2 block with a d16z6 head. Any idea if i gonna have to use an adjustable cam gear using the z6 timing belt?

i don't believe the timing belt is the concern as youre supposed to use the belt that matches the head in most cases. Although, this guy just proved different combos work too.

I'm sorry to say but I subscribed to the easiest mini me combo I've ever heard of, the a6 block y8 head setup hoping it would be easy. So far it s ok.
All I can say is make sure you use a timing gun, if you don't know how find someone who does
