Default moved to CO idle seems to have problems?

i recently moved to colorado where the city is about 6000 feet up and my idling is actin all weird. it will idle at about 15, then it will just fall to like 100 and die. anyone know how to adjust this up at high alttitudes?? its really annoying i cant seem to keep it goin. its a completely rebuilt ls/vtec w/ 1400 miles on it. also how many miles should i put before i get on her?? people say 3000, others say 500-1000? never gotten it above 3800 rpm yet! i have replaced the idle control sensor and stuff but got nothing.

it is the difference in the O2 density in the air

STFU noob, it is the truth, at higher altitude the air is less dense, it is harder to compress fuel with less dense air, use you brain, douche
he just needs to reduce the octane of his gas

alright first of all youve only been on HT for 30 more days than him so hold up on the noob buisness. and can you explain how reducing the octane of his gas would be good for an LS/VTEC?

have you tried reseting your ecu? maybe raising your idle? did you drive the car there or have it towed? check the coolant for bubbles. a lot of stuff can cause a funky idle.does it run good otherwise?

also when i got my engine rebuilt the guy said drive it around the block, change the oil, baby it for about 100-200 miles, change the oil then you can get on it. ive got about 1500 miles now.

she runs great , i have tried to reset ecu and it did nothing. today when i was driving it i did not die at all but when i push and hold the clutch to stop it would drop to around 100 and jump back up to 500 and idle right around 500. still very low but atleast it didnt die on me
