hey there, i need to put a new block in my car. i currently have a d16y8 and would like to keep it to about the same motor compression wise, among other things. my cylinder head is good so im keeping that. i can get my hands on a y8 crank, pistons, and rods. my question is, will the crank, rods, pistons, and waterpump all fit in any d15 or d16 block? say a d15b7 block, will all those internals plus waterpump and oilpump from my y8 install right in? which motor do i buy bearings and rings for? the y8 or the b7? thanks.

it should fit in a d16 block but im not too sure about the d15. if it does fit in the d15 youll probably have some nice compression if anything

 

dont quote me on this, but i dont think the D16y8's internals will fit D15b's.?.. You can slap those y8 internals in a y7 with lower compression.

But if you cant find anything here, .. go to http://www.D-series.org and do a search

All D-16 internal parts are interchangeable, the crank, and pistons arn't interchangeable with the D-15
