Default b18b1 into gsr body?

hey guys. just wondering if you can drop a b18b1 into a 1998 gsr body? Are the mounts the same? is there alot of extra work? any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

it will bolt right in, its the same motor as far as looks go, jus whats underneath is different

It'll go right in. It's basically the same motor, as 95BlkGSR said. You will have to work on the ECU and wiring a bit, but as far as the motor going in, it just goes in.

if its a 96-98 gsr and same years motor, just drop it in and get the ls ecu...no work on any harness needed. ive got an ls ecu if u need it.

so what? on an ls ecu there are the pins for vtec...if u drop an ls motor into a gsr, there should be no problem. there will be 2 extra plugs in the engine bay but if ur downgrading to an ls motor who cares? get the ls ecu, the harness will work just fine.

its a 1995 ls motor going into a 1998 gsr body.
