i think the jdm rex's could be ordered with different options for sound, i think there was something called super sound or some crap like that with a more midrange, does any one has any pics or info about stock i.e. factory upgraded audio options usdm jdm or edm

yeah they had different speakers upgrades...but um they are over 10 years old and you might as well get new speakers from infinity or such...but you can still pick up some bass tubes on ebay or something...they fit in the rear where the speakers would go and they run about 50-75 bucks...

 

which bass tubes do you speak of?

yeah that was one of them bass tubes anyone got any more info on these and other options

 

i heard about this stuff from a guy selling his sir, he wrote this

"17. JDM SiR CR-X Honda “Super Sound” speaker covers (Extremely Rare and hard to find!) - Paid $300.00
18. JDM SiR CR-X Honda “Super Sound” rear speaker enclosures. These are like mini Bazooka Tubes that came factory in some CR-X’s which increase the bass response from the rear speakers!! (Extremely rare and hard to Find!) Paid $was included with above item"

 

First off, CRX's NEVER came "with" a radio, stock. It was an extra cost dealer installed option. In '90, I think there were 4 or 5 flavors of radios. There were the bottom of the line ones with a low power am/fm only or a low power fm/cass.
Then came the "1000" then "2000" and top of the line radio in '90 civics was the high power/anti theft fm/cass. Called the "3000". There were also something like 3 or 4 speaker choices. I'm pretty sure the top of the line speaker kit was made by Fosgate for Honda. And I think Pioneer made a HQ speaker kit too, for Honda.
Needless to say if you're looking for stock/oem radios from that time the're all discontinued. Try eBay.
My '90 Si had the "2000" radio and HQ speakers in it, when I got it. But I only have 2 of the 4 speakers left and I swapped in a 94-95 GSR radio a few years ago.
Honda/oem radios aren't known for their reliability.

i have the JDM super sound bass tubes in my car. they work pretty good but i did upgrade the speakers in them to 6.5". It really makes the sound and bass in the car much better. I paid $140 for them off ebay a few months back. Great deal if you aks me

can you take pictures and or tell me how there different than the regular ones

 

what do you mean diffrent than the regular ones? They are just the jdm bass tubes that fit in the stock location. i will get pics of them when i get my new digital in as i just ordered it today. Also e-mail me at SpoonFedEF7@aol.com so i don't forget
