Default motor problems continued: solved?

i went all the way down to http://www.jeimportperformance.com and met james evans, chris, and john. chris prepped my car for the dynapack and james worked the magic.
if you've never seen a dynapack, it's pretty f'ing cool dyno. it's so compact and eliminates the variables the wheels/tires can introduce.
if you remember, i've been consistently melting away the sparkplug electrode in cylinder #3. i have a mostly stock R with toda header and smsp cat; stock injectors and plugs. prior to my visit, i had eliminated the cause being the injectors, plugs, or a compression issue. the o2 sensor is an unlikely cause because there is no cel.
at je performance, we hooked up a fuel pressure gauge and eliminated a faulty fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump.
on the dyno we discovered the motor was running quite lean above 6k rpm. however, it wasn't lean enough to throw a cel so it may not be the true cause of my problem. james used a vafc to adjust the a/f ratio and move vtec engagement, here is the results:

nice gains, eh?!
the crooked lines around 7k rpm on the 1st run indicate detonation
i pulled out the plugs once i got home and they were still white however, i don't know how long it takes for the white stuff to get cleaned off; the drive home was 150 miles. i'm going to order fresh plugs tomorrow and keep a close eye on them.

Can't see the pics, do you feel any difference in the car after being tuned?

the pictures are courtesy of the wee-todds and it's running a bit slow. if you're patient, the pictures will eventually load.

i can feel the increased power, but i haven't gotten to rip up the local roads yet to really enjoy it. the vtec engagement point has been lowered so i no longer have that extreme pop going into vtec; it just pulls nicely right through the power band. of course, i still have bbbbaaaaaaaaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!

PS: the pictures show 5ftxlbs and 15whp increase

if you are beating on the car, your plugs will probably have a whitish tinge to them even if you arent running that rich. why its melting/damaging the electrode though Im not sure.

Either way as long as its not detonating, those look like some decent gains from just a vafc tune

yes, nice gains because the car was starved for fuel in vtec previously i can't wait to take her to a track!

i don't know. the resolution makes the curve look even wierder since we're looking at a small portion of the torque range.
