Default Clutch system working pressure

Do any of you know what the working pressure is in a hydraulic clutch system is? Perhaps one of you has measured the pressure in the line near the slave, or knows how to compute the working pressure as a function of the weight of the pressure plate. If you have any insight, I'd appreciate it greatly.

If nobody knows, I'll put a brake pressure guage on a H-series clutch system and measure it, and post my findings.

Thanks!

there is a mathematicla formula but you need the orifice size the piston size and the stroke length. probably easier to sue a brake pressure gauge tapped in

I'm probably going to use a brake pressure guage, but I'll give this thread one more bump, just in case!

(Pedal force X pedal mechanical advantage) / (MC piston area)

No orifice sizes or stroke length or anything like that is involved... You can measure the distances between the pedal, piston clevis, & pivot point to get the mechanical advantage. I don't know what the MC bore is, & I'm not sure how you would reliably measure the pedal force.

So it might be easier to use a pressure gauge.

edit...
If I wanted to take a WILD guess;
force = 10 lbf
M.A. = 4
bore = 1/2"

(10 X 4) / (pi/4 * 0.5^2) = around 200 psi
