dont go with shotpeened rods...

Go Crower/Saenz/Pauter for rods

JE or Arias for pistons.

Total Seal rings

Or go with Eagle rods. I saw them at SEMA and they are very good quality. Plus, they are cheaper than crower. If Im not mistaken JoJo Callos is running eagle rods now.

I agree; total seal is total crap. Go with stock Honda rings.

How do you blow your rings? What causes this, and how can you help prevent it? Also what are the symptoms of blown rings?

White= coolant
Blue= oil
Black= gas (rich)

It's hard to tell sometimes between white and blue.. but if you see any tint of blue to the smoke, you are burning oil. That can be caused by blown rings or bad valve seals.

it depends on which rings are blown. If you blow compression rings (like I did) you will experience less compression which equals less power. Blown oil rings will just let alot of oil into the combustion chamber, which can coat the chamber causing less combustion efficiency. If you have blown rings, better take the engine apart and do a rebuild.
