Default D16Z6 help>>>I searched already>>>>

I have 160k on my motor and I want to rebuild but I dont know how much stress has been put on the block........So How do I determine if the block is worth building... The engine has had regular maintanance with the only problem being it overheating from a bad radiator...... I've heard to check with a straight edge and a feeler guage for warpage but I believe its the head.........All comments welcomed..........

a D-series motor isnt really worth rebuilding, because you can probably find yourself another engine (JDM D15B, D16Z6/Y8) w/ less mileage and less wear/tear for cheaper than rebuilding your Z6.

I'll agree to a point with illuzionz - if you are going back stock, find a replacement. It will probably be cheaper - and a rebuild isn't going to be as good as Honda's first build anyway.

If you are going to do a "build" like with aftermarket rods/pistons, let a machine shop check it for you - just make sure it's a reputable place and give them the specs from a Helms manual on warpage etc.

My $.02
