Default I spliced my 02 wires, now the car is hesitating

I need to lengthen the wires to fit my downpipe on the turbo install and now my car stutters and almost acts like there is no throttle when I barely get on it from 2500 - 3000 after that its fine.

I heard you need sheilded wired for the 02 sensor, plus I do not have vtec hooked up at the moment

btw this is a d16z6

thanks for any help

You sure you didn't cross any wires?

I'd verify with a digital multimeter.

Are you throwing the O2 code now?

how did you splice the o2 wires did you solder the wires, you might have developed a high recistance situation. Which will send faulty reading to the ecu recistance check the wires you splice by isolating them from the rest of the circuit

well I did not solder them, I used some cheap single strand radio shack wire to lengthen it about 3 more feet. Yes there is more resistance, but now I thing i should have extended the harness not the 02 sensor

single strandswire is your first mistake you need to use multi strand wire in the same gauge as the factory
