this is just a question, their are alot of member's on this board that have type r's.. and every other day or every Day. they have a question about a problem and they consult people.

me, myself .. am concernced because i am planing on buying an R.. and i plan on putin bolt ons, cams , and more compression.. ecu.. dat kind of stuff to go to low 13's..

 

Well, generally people come here to ask questions, even about little small squeeks and what have you. I used to own a 2000 PY and didn't really have many problems.

ITRs are generally problem-free, like most integras, so perhaps it's just coincidence.

 

don't u know that hondas are the most reliable.
its because money of the h-t members beat the **** outta their cars
and lil problems like burning oil gets to them.

there shouldn't be any major problems til u start modding alot
and if your modding right then there still shouldn't be a problem

thats what u should be asking, how to mod it your ride correctly

 

yea that or it's because most itr owners race their car to death because it was meant to be raced... and with any car that leads to problems... yea know what i mean?

It's a forum to get help. You don't need help if everything is perfect. The other thing i agree with is that they are driven hard. Drive most other cars this hard and you'll get the same problems... if not more. I have yet to have problems with mine, still kinda new (12k miles) but all is good. If you are thinking about getting one I say go for it.

 

Well, 1 LS and 2 ITR's here and no problems. So I guess someone has to have some bad luck.

But, I'd think that the majority of people here that have either a Honda or Acura have Alot less problems as a whole compared to some other imports and especially domestics.

I think it's better than asking "???? vs. ????". We are here to help. Also, we have knowlegable people here and most likely, you will get an answer, unlike most other forums.

Also, how many other cars' owners beat up their cars like we do, I doubt there are very very few. And usually, people have problems when they start modifying, stock R's are reliable as hell. Try to do the same thing to other cars as you did to the R, I bet your car won't last very long.

once again i agree totally... no other car performs like a type-r for it's cost...
