Starting problems...
sometimes when i start my car after a short drive, it refuses to start or it takes awhile to start?? Anyone got this problem? I gotta clifford concept alarm and i was thinking maybe it was becuase of that? what things should I check?
I have 2000 ITR and it's been having that problem ever since i bought it. Same with other R's in this forum. Someone's posted something like this before and apparently you're not the only one. If you can narrow it down to when it'll happen i guess you can take it to acura and get it fixed, other wise i have no idea what is causing the problem. But everytime it does happen to me its after a drive and the weather is usually pretty warm or hot. Hope this helps. sorri if i couldn't help you more..

thanks for the info man, at least now I know I didn't get a lemon or something like that. i just hate it when everyone;s staring cuz it's a yellow type-r and all of a sudden it won't start. that's embarassing.
alot of R's have this prob all you have to do is: while turning the key palse in the "ON" position for about 3 sec or until all the noise stops then start her up. she will start everytime this way. hope this helps.

I'll give you guys a hint..... it could possibly be a user missunderstanding.
This has been talked about quite a bit. Especially new Honda and Acura owners.
I'll give you another hint:
It has to do with the injectors primings before start up. And no it's not a mechanical defect or problem.

almost there......
Solution: Do what CaliITR said, but instead of waiting 3 seconds, just wait untell the check engine light goes out, then your ready to go. The banks are primed and ready.
