New CTC Gearset Larger Dog design
Just some new info for the hardcore racers out there that keep breaking stock gears or other gearsets. Here is a picture of our newly designed gear set with larger dogrings. There should not be any problems with these dogrings!!! Only problem we had with the gears was the previous model 3-4 slider dogring eventually wore out. Yes dogrings will have to be replaced every season on the serious drag cars. (Low 8 to low 9 sec Pro 4 cyl type cars). On high 9 second to 10 second cars they should last 2 years and all motor should last even longer before maintanance. Replacement dogrings and gears are about $250-400 each depending on which ones. Custom ratios available. Those racers with Motecs, send us some ratios you want. Use those expensive computers to your advantage and get an edge over the other guys. Who better to know what you need than you and your crew? With a strengthend or cable bellhousing I see no problems in reliability. Have to make sure the shafts don't try to push apart and crack the bearing area on the bellhousing. A cable bellhousing with a Tilton TOB or something like that would be ideal or we can reinforce your hydraulic bellhousing. We should have an upper support plate to help keep the shafts together sometime soon as well.
