Default Si rim tire sizes

I remember reading on here a while back about the particular tire sizes people were running on 99-00 Si rims w/out any rubbing issues.

Time has come for me to replace my tires, but now I cant find the thread about what sizes people were running. I know stock size is 195/55/15 but I vaguely remember people saying 205/50/15? or something similar to that.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

205/50-15 is right.
It'll rub on tight turn and depending on how low you are.

That's what I'm running on pro-kits. No rubbing except occasionally at full lock.

I'm lowered about 1.8" (s-tech) right now.

Only rub when the steering wheel is almost fully turned.
But not as bad as back then cause i've worn the lining down now.

205/50/15's on Neuspeed race springs (2.5") w/ stock shocks..........

no rubbing at all

actually, when i first dropped it with these rims/tires, the front fender lining rubbed a little, but i just tucked it up further and everythings cool now

Yeah just about any 205 should be fine. The azenis do measure about 15mm wider then their "advertised" rating on all of their tires.

I never had any problems on my old 99si with azenis on stock si wheels as well as 6.5" group n's unless you were transitioning VERY quickly (i.e. auto-x) and the only reason for that is lack of dampening and spring rates. Had slight rubbing on the inner fender liner.
