things i need to clear up real quick ..(auto to manual stuff)
ok....so i've searched throught like 300 posts on the conversion itself, but there's something kinda left unexplained thats confusing me
does the whole pedal assembly have to be swapped for a manual one? The posts i've been reading say to swap them out, but some of the posts claim that the brake/clutch pedal is 1 assembly. Where as mine (the swap parts i recieved) have the gas/brake as one assembly, and the clutch pedal seperate.
And also, is there a difference between the auto gas/brake pedals and the manual gas/brake? Comparing the two, they look the same but i dunno
Just wondering cuz i was going to get a head start and install what i could before the trany & mount get here later on in the week
thanx in advance
mike
BTW the car is a 93 Ex

ive done 2 auto to man. swaps and both times i swapped the WHOLE pedal assembly (all 3 pedals) because even if you were to add just the clutch pedal the auto's brake pedal is much larger the the manual pedal
Yeah, I also did an Auto-Manual conversion on my 93 EX and used all three pedals from a manual car. One a manual car, the brake pedal is much smaller than the auto brake pedal. The manual's brake pedal looks kinda like the clutch pedal, but attached to the same assembly as the gas pedal. Good luck.
Did the auto to manual on my car also.
Basically, the auto brake pedal is much larger then the manual brake pedal.
You can keep the Auto assembly if you want but the pedal will be huge and im not sure if it'll interfere with the clutch pedal.
Just swap out the entire assembly and enjoy nice small pedals

actually i made my life easier by only changing the brake pedal and adding the clutch...this was in a 95 civic hatch. Better than taking out the whole pedal box just to swap the gas and brake where the gas is the same and the brake is smaller...basically i just swapped brake pedals...
NM, made a new post
