Tranny Does not go into gear easy, Help
... and I have no clue what is wrong with it...
heres the run down..
1.) Noticed about a week ago my clutch pedal would have to travel all the way to the floor to disengage the clutch... also true to engage it... meaning if my foot was all the way to the floor and i let it up just slightly it would grab the clutch... this changed because before that i would let the clutch up more so before it would grab...
2.) Now today I can't shift into first without really pushing it in, and it makes a clink sound when I do, it feels like something is blocking it, like the 5th gear does when it wont go into gear, but i push past and it pops in finally but is really hard, sometimes it takes me 4 tries to get into gear... and it just happend this afternoon...
3.) I also notice when I downshift it wont pop into gear sometime too even if i rev match i have to put more force than usual to put it into gear..
4.) We measure the distance on 2 diff cars from when the clutch is pressed down to when it is fully up, and found on the 2 other cars the slave on the tranny moved around 1cm to 1.3 cm, now on my car it only moved around 0.5-0.6cm.
We bled the lines a few times but still no luck.
Im clueless, is my tranny toast? or is there something I can check out?
I can barely drive it as is...

Clutch and synchros could be bad. try replacing them but it probally would be cheaper to buy a new tranny than overhaul your current one.
thanks, your right trannys are super cheap so I might as well just pick one up and try it.
But could that just happen in one day? I only noticed it happen all of a sudden in the afternoon one day.

ok update:
I went and checked my master cylinder under the dash
where the rod goes through the firewall there is a dark grease liquid around the hole the rod goes in, I put my finger on it and its slippery like a mix between oil and grease..
that mean my master is toast?
