problems with jackson racing supercharger idle air control
alright, well, as you guys may have read, i got a jackson racing supercharger in my civic ex sohc d16y8. well, my check engine light is on, when we were putting in the supercharger, we screwed up the knock sensor, so i bought one and am going to put it in soon. Well since the check engine light is on i figured it was because of my knock sensor, which it is, but it's also on because of my "Idle Air Control valve system fault" My idle rpm fluctuates, and we have done everything to the throttle body and throttle cable, it's adjusted fine, and the timing is correct too. Is this normal with forced induction, or what is wrong with my idle air control? also, would my car react differently without the knock sensor in? feedback would be much appreciated, thanks.
First thing to check would be if you plugged the IAC valve's electrical plug back in. If you did, it might be dirty/clogged or defective.
well, i only see to connectors on the throttle body, one on the back side which is the throttle position sensor, and one on top, which i'm assuming is the IAC, but i can't remember. Either way, they both seem to be connected just fine
