I have a leak around the underside of my turbo. its leaking between the center section and the return flange. I already replaced the return flange gasket twice and Last night I removed 7 inches from the return line to make is short and straight and I installed a gasket with Hi temp silicone gasket maket sealant. I checked it and its still leaking and smoking badly. I have a ford T-bird centersection and I went and brought a turbine and compressor housing for it and installed it on my car. I got the centersection from the junkyard. do u guys think the centersection is just junk? I had a rebuild saab turbo on before this one and it NEVER leaking oil out the return seal area.

sounds like the seals are bad... either rebuild or replace the turbo IMO

 

get a big *** turbo....

 

lol I found a t3/t4B with a 60-1 wheel and a .63 exhaust wheel for 300 bucks used from a friend. When will this thing spool?

 

mine spools up at 4500 on my GSR

 

how much boost? and when is it fully spooled

 

5 PSI...i say around 5,000-5,500 Full Boost
When i had stock Exhaust, spool would take forever..Now i got Full 3" in from K-teller
