Need helping finding gasket (pics inside)
Hi I received my turbo manifold and all my turbo gaskets today and I was looking at my turbo gasket and It didn't look like the right one,
The turbo I have is a AiResearch T3 .42/.48 and It said the gasket was for t3 turbos but it doesnt look right for mine.. Please take a look at these pictures and let me know if this is the right gasket.. Thanks!

i dont think u need 2 use a gasket for that, it should fit flush even w/ the side of the turbo, i didnt use one on mine.

Hard to tell from the pics but it looks right.. I should be a flange for a garrett 5 bolt t3..
By the way, what engine are you using the t3 on??

Doesn't look right to me, but you have the turbo, and you have the flange... can't you just hold the two together and see if it will bolt up?

Looks like the right flange to me...
The turbo has the internal wastegate housing on it right now. You just need to take that off and the flange should fit.
You are running an external wastegate right?

looks like the right flange to me. just take it off and bolt the other one up. its only a few bolts. dont be lazy

I'm wanting to the internal wastegate, do I have to purchase another flange for that reason?
I just have my flange welded to my downpipe then I bolt it on their correct?
How does this bolt on do I just get longer screws and bolts it the holds over the hole right when I have it welded on my downpipe anyone have any pics?

heheheh.. I have the same turbo.. Wait until you hit the gas with that puppy..
Just use the internal wastegate and turn down the boost until you get it where you want it..
Yes, just bolt the flange to the turbo and then weld the downpipe to the flange..

If you are wanting to run the internal wastegate (like you said in the above post) you need to use a 3-bolt flange, not the one you have...
The flange you have is a "block off plate", it blocks off the hole for the internal wastegate, you would only use that flange if you are running an external wastegate.
Just sell the one you have and pick up one of these...
There are many sites that sell them, I got the picture from

I've bought stuff from them before and have always had a good experience

Long bolts?? Not sure what you mean here.. If you doing hf/std manifold setup you need to build a studded adapter plate to join the two together..

I didnt think of that.. That is an adapter plate that will block off the internal wastegate.. Let me take a look at one of the other turbos that I have at home and ill let you know.. I have an extra one that is exactly the same as what you have..
