Help with 515R Backup Siren
Hey everyone...I bought a DEI/Revenger 515R Backup Siren for my Viper alarm system...I'm having issues installing it... It has four wires...One black(ground) one Red(power) one violet(+ siren signal) one green (-Siren signal) It says to only use the black, red, and violet for DEI setups...
I hooked the black up to a bolt that was grounded, the red i latched into the alarms red wire and i hooked the violet up to the brown...
When i turn the key to the "on" position, it continues to wail and not accept a signal...Will i need to put the red wire direct to the battery? or is there a trick to turning the siren to the "on" position without having it wail anymore?
any help will be appreciated!!

glancing online i saw someone posted this,,, but im not too sure if it will help u.
red = +12V,
black = ground,
+ trigger = old siren red wire or brown output from alarm,
- trigger = no connection
perhaps it can help u

yeah i tried that, but for some reason the siren wont stay off when its unarmed...I'm trying to think whether or not the power should go directly to the battery...
